I remember it so well….

It’s 1995 and my then-boyfriend and I decide to take a spontaneous trip to Disney. We’ll find a hotel when we get there, we said. It’ll be easy. We’ll just walk into the parks without any idea of what’s there and have a wonderful time. It’ll be great!

Well, we did have a wonderful time, but it took three hotel stops to find a room and we had no idea what to do or where to go once we entered the parks. On the way home I asked my now husband, “Next time, would you mind if a made a plan for our trip?”

And that was it.

Every single year since 1995 my husband and I have visited the Disney theme parks with a bullet point itinerary in hand. We have been there in all kinds of weather and with every age of child (we have three, ages 12, 16, and 20). Planning these trips has also been a source of joy for me and I always jumped at the chance to help others plan their trips. We began going to Universal Studios Orlando about 10 years ago, thanks to the amazing Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and have enjoyed several trips there as well. Theme parks are my happy place, and making memories there with my family is what makes my heart smile.

On a personal note, I am a big fan of all things Disney, Harry Potter, Marvel, and Star Wars. Theme parks, in my opinion, are the best place to fangirl over all the things I love!
